(CNN) — As a young Texas pair were being leaving the courthouse for their marriage ceremony, their motor vehicle collided with a pickup truck, killing both of them, in accordance to
Harley Morgan, 19, and Rhiannon Boudreaux, 20, were merging on to Freeway 87 in Orange, Texas when the incident transpired. The pickup truck was towing a trailer loaded with a tractor, in accordance to a statement from the Orange Police Office.
The newlyweds were being leaving an Orange County Justice of the Peace precinct following their marriage ceremony, Lt. Gary Keaton, a spokesman for the division said. Powering them were being the groom’s mom and sister, who witnessed the deadly collision.
“I watched my toddler die,” Harley Morgan’s mother, Kennia, told KFDM. “I am however carrying my son’s blood for the reason that I was making an attempt my finest to rip him and her out of the auto.”
“Which is an picture that will haunt me the relaxation of my life. I is not going to forget it. It will hardly ever go away. I will see that truck strike my toddler and get rid of my little one every evening of my existence, the relaxation of the time that I’m on earth.”
The driver of the truck was not wounded.
Kennia Morgan advised the station that the higher college sweethearts ended up thrilled to get started their life jointly. However they experienced their ceremony at the courthouse, they were organizing a Christmas wedding on December 20 for their loved ones and buddies.
The Justice of the Peace that married the two just minutes earlier went to the scene of their death, KFDM reported.
The detective division of the Orange Law enforcement Division is investigating the incident, according to the statement.
Orange County is in the Beaumont-Port Arthur location of southeastern Texas.
