Slaying of 7-12 months-aged girl stokes anger, protests in Mexico – Al Jazeera English

The killing of a 7-yr-previous girl on the southern outskirts of Mexico City has stoked climbing anger about brutal slayings of ladies, which include just one found stabbed to death and skinned before this month.

The abduction and killing of the seven-yr-old came just two days after Ingrid Escamilla, a younger Mexico City resident, was allegedly murdered by a boyfriend. The man, who has been arrested and purportedly confessed to killing Escamilla with a knife, mutilated her physique and flushed portion of her corpse into the sewer.

Outrage grew right after community media posted horrific pics of the skinned corpse, apparently leaked by city law enforcement officers.

Protesters go through a statement Friday indicating, “It enrages us how Ingrid was killed, and how the media put her body on display.”
