TAMPA, Fla. – One of the Carnival cruise ships that was associated in a collision in Mexico returned to Port Tampa on Sunday morning.
The Carnival Glory was attempting to dock in Cozumel when the rear of the ship strike the bow of the Carnival Legend on Friday.
Dramatic video clip taken by various witnesses demonstrates the ships colliding, producing destruction to both vessels, including an occupied dining place on the Glory.
Carnival reported a visitor experienced a slight injuries when a team was evacuated from the dining room. The corporation later stated an added five passengers sought professional medical notice aboard the Glory.
Carnival also reported that the destruction to the two ships was superificial and neither ship’s itinerary was affected by the incident.
