Apollo thirteen Views of the Moon in 4K – NASA Goddard

Опубліковано 24 лют. 2020 р.

This video clip uses information collected from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft to recreate some of the stunning sights of the Moon that the Apollo 13 astronauts saw on their perilous journey about the farside in 1970. These visualizations, in 4K resolution, depict numerous unique views of the lunar surface area, setting up with earthset and dawn and concluding with the time Apollo 13 reestablished radio speak to with Mission Management. Also depicted is the route of the cost-free return trajectory close to the Moon, and a continuous see of the Moon during that path. All views have been sped up for timing applications — they are not proven in “serious-time.”
